I am Dr. Chad Davis, pastor of Second Baptist Church in West Helena, AR and a Doctor of Philosophy graduate of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. During my bachelor, master, and doctoral studies at Mid-America, I studied expository preaching and biblical languages for the purpose of teaching and preaching in a local Southern Baptist church. I am passionate about reading, translating and preaching from the Hebrew Bible, Septuagint, Greek New Testament, and the Latin Vulgate. I also study other ancient cultures and languages represented in the Old Testament to teach the history of the Bible.

God has blessed me to serve at Kirby Woods Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Lakeland, TN, and other churches. Ministry has opened doors for me to serve in mission trips to various foreign countries such as Vietnam, Peru, Italy, and others.

It is an honor to serve as pastor of Second Baptist Church. I believe God has uniquely positioned Second Baptist Church to leave an impact on our community and future generations. Our church, through the leadership of the Holy Spirit, will share the Gospel with our community, make disciples, and have a great fellowship for believers to learn and grow in their faith in Christ. My hobbies include learning and deciphering ancient languages, deer hunting, and reading.
